Deniz graduated from TED Ankara College in 2013 and then obtained his B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from TED University, Ankara in 2017. Then, he completed an Erasmus Mundus joint MSc program between IUSS Pavia and the University of Grenoble Alpes, i.e. Masters in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology – MEEES, spending time in both institutions. His past research has been focused on understanding the displaced shapes of infilled reinforced concrete structures under lateral loading and developing tools for the assessment of existing structures in a simplified framework. Currently, he is following the Ph.D. degree in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology at IUSS Pavia. His Ph.D. research includes soil-structure Interaction, constitutive models, and numerical modeling and analysis of soils and structures.
