Guido Andreotti is a junior researcher at IUSS Pavia. He graduated from University of Pavia (Italy) with BSc in Natural Sciences, BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering. He worked for several years as a consultant before undertaking a PhD in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology at IUSS. He was visiting researcher at University of California Berkeley (USA) and University of Canterbury (New Zealand). Primary research interests include several aspects of Earthquake Geotechnical Engineering as soil-structure interaction, definition of seismic input and site response analysis, seismic vulnerability and damage assessment of geotechnical structures with particular reference to tunnels, constitutive models and numerical modelling in general. His research interests also include the numerical simulation of rainfall-induced landslides.
