Marco Giovanni Persico
Marco has graduated in Chemistry from the University of Pavia (Italy). He won scholarships as radiochemist in Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmacy at Fondazione IRCCS San Matteo Hospital (Pavia, Italy), and has been involved in several research projects for five years: a) Study and experimental production of radiotracers with nuclear reactor and cyclotron for application in Nuclear Medicine; b) Molecular imaging with 18F-choline in malignant gliomas: in vitro and clinical study with PET-CT imaging; c) Synthesis of new radiopharmaceuticals peptide-based for applications in PET-BNCT. He is a Biomedical Research Specialist and Clinical Research Associate with experience in Clinical Trials, Good Laboratory Practice and Good Clinical Practice, biostatistics (experimental design, data management and data analysis). As analytical chemist, he performed: sampling, qualitative and quantitative analysis (HPLC, GC, TLC, gamma spectrometry, mass spectrometry) of several substances in different matrices.
