The Research Centre promotes and coordinates researches into textual traditions both handwritten (manuscripts) and printed. It is led by Professor Cesare Segre, and collaborates with the Centro Interuniversitario di Studi Romanzi (IUSS, Università di Pavia, Università di Milano, Università di Siena) and with the Scuola di Dottorato Europea in Filologia Romanza - École Doctorale Européenne en Philologie Romane (Università di Siena, Università di Milano, Università di Pavia, Université de Paris IV-Sorbonne, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Universität Zürich). The main goal of the Research Centre is to promote post-graduated training and scientific research into all those areas of literature and literary theory to which textual criticism can be applied.
