HDCP-IRC aims to promote and undertake academic research and high-quality training in the fields of human development and capability.

FLA 1: "Quality of life and sustainable human development" (Two-year research project supported by the Fondazione Lombardia per l'Ambiente; presentation of end results in July 2007)
FLA 2: "City, well-being and poverty" (Two-year research project supported by the Fondazione Lombardia per l'Ambiente; started in September 2007)
FIRB: "Toward and integrated view of human rights and human development: theoretical foundations, measurement issues and policy implications" (Three-year research project supported by the Italian Ministry of University and Research; started in July 2007)
Teaching:
HDCA Summer School in Capability, Poverty and Well-Being Measurement (organised jointly with the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative, Oxford, UK)
