Ignacio has obtained a bachelor’s degree in Geography at the University of Buenos Aires. His thesis Regarded the analysis of extreme precipitation, Climate Change and flood risk management in urban areas.
He also obtained a master’s in Environmental Studies at The University of Tokyo where he applied GIS and Remote Sensing techniques to flood risk areas.
He has been Climatology assistant professor at the Geography Department at the University of Buenos Aires. Moreover, he has worked as a consultant in the National Geographic Instituto of Argentina.
His experience is related to disaster risk management, social Vulnerability by using GIS and remote sensing tools. Strong experience in interdisciplinary work environments related to disaster risk management projects. He has numerous publications including papers, books, chapter of books and magazines.
