Samuele got the 1st level degree n Scienze della Vita e Biologia dei Sistemi, at Università degli Studi di Torino, in 2017; his thesis, titled “Acinotobacter baumannii: meccanismi e strategie del fenotipo di resistenza”, had as focus the antibiotics resistance mechanisms in the nosocomial pathogen Acinetobacter baumannii.
He got the 2nd level degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology,  at Università degli Studi di Torino, in 2019;  his thesis, titled “Cytochrome P450-mediated biocatalysis for the production of pharmaceuticals: the importance of natural compounds”, had as focus the application of bacterial cytochrome CYP102A1 and its mutants in the biocatalysis of different natural compounds, with the goal tho functionalize them and to increase their biological activity.

His PhD project is focused on the discovery of novel antigens and proteins fundamental in BCC (Burkholderia cepacia complex) bacteria, as possible target for vaccines and drugs development.
