Cycle of seminars: Understanding and managing climate risk

The key role of human activities as a cause of recent and future climate change is now demonstrated, as is the increasing impact of climate change on natural and human ecosystems. Climate projections for the future show that the abatement of climate-changing emissions and the transition to a sustainable socio-economic system are the only effective tools for mitigating climate change and its impacts. On the other hand, increasing climate change risk points out the urgent need for adaptation to these new environmental conditions. In this series of seminars, an overview of the tools that the scientific community makes available to citizens, stakeholders and decision-makers to face the
challenge of adapting to climate change is presented.
