Biografia

Emma Schiavon is a postdoctoral researcher at the IUSS University School for Advanced Studies Pavia, where she works on stakeholder engagement, application of participatory approaches to disaster management and definition of user requirements for the optimization of the Earth Observation upstream sector in Europe. She holds a PhD in Risk and Emergency Management from the IUSS School for Advanced Studies. She has previously been a visiting researcher at ISPRA, the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research where she has worked on the definition of user requirements for a future hyperspectral Sentinel mission and on the needs of the Italian agricultural community regarding nature based farming. Her PhD thesis has been focused on understanding the potential of green infrastructures in agriculture using multiple stakeholder approaches.
