The IUSS Pavia Graduate School actively supports and promotes the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation to enhance knowledge, skills, creative ideas, and foster the establishment of innovative enterprises.
As part of the project "Special Ordinance High Schools: institutions in the service of the country," involving the six national Special Ordinance High Schools within the PRO3FED6 context, IUSS Pavia has set among its objectives the enhancement of the third mission through strengthening relationships with various stakeholders to promote cultural development and economic-social innovation. This includes improving the impact of research and enhancing technology transfer at the national and international levels, also through entrepreneurship projects.
To this end, IUSS School is committed to promoting actions that support students and researchers from all Graduate Schools in developing an entrepreneurial approach to generate new business ideas, clearly leveraging the skills acquired during academic experiences and research activities.
Starting in 2022, IUSS School has organized, as part of the three-year program of the Federation of the six excellent Graduate Schools (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca, Gran Sasso Science Institute, and SISSA International School for Advanced Studies), in collaboration with the Netval Association:
- Training sessions on Technology Transfer and research valorization
- SUPERA Project - Startups from Universities Pursuing Entrepreneurial Readiness for Acceleration
- Seasonal School on Entrepreneurship
For several years now, IUSS School has also been directly involved in the training process offered by the course "Defining the Third Mission: Strategies, Models, Organization, and Tools to Maximize Knowledge Valorization and Impact on Society," held annually at the CRUI headquarters. Notably, Rector Riccardo Pietrabissa and General Director Giuseppe Conti participate as speakers, recognized experts in the field at the national level.
