What Will Happen to Us with AI? Philosophy Confronts AI (7 October 2026)
From 7 to 9 October 2026, the Accademia delle Scienze di Torino will host the conference “What Will Happen to Us with AI?”, dedicated to the transformations and questions arising from the development of artificial intelligence.
The first session, “Philosophy Confronts AI”, will take place on Wednesday, 7 October, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., in the Sala dei Mappamondi at the Accademia delle Scienze di Torino.
Among the speakers will be Alfredo Tomasetta, Professor at the IUSS School for Advanced Studies Pavia, who will give a talk entitled “AI and Theories of the Conscious Mind.”
The session will explore some of the key philosophical questions raised by artificial intelligence, ranging from AI ethics and the relationship between AI and consciousness to language understanding.
