IUSS to Participate in “Deciding Before Investing” at the Giulio Natta Innovation Center

On Thursday, 29 October 2026, the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia will participate in “Deciding Before Investing”, an event taking place at the Giulio Natta Innovation Center in Giussago (Pavia). The event will focus on industrial risk management, technological innovation, and tools to support investment decision-making.

How can investment decisions be made in a context marked by economic uncertainty, volatile energy prices, and increasing attention to resource efficiency?

These are the key issues at the heart of the event, organised by Simbiosi and SynERE, which will bring together representatives from the business community, institutions, and the research sector to discuss strategies and tools for assessing investments before committing capital.

The programme will feature presentations on industrial risk, the use of data collected from operating industrial plants, artificial intelligence, and simulation tools designed to compare different investment scenarios.

IUSS will take part in the roundtable discussion bringing together businesses and institutions, scheduled for the closing session of the event, from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The discussion will focus on how organisations address and manage risk, including through innovation and the adoption of new technologies.

IUSS's participation will provide an opportunity to contribute to the dialogue between research, institutions, and industry, highlighting the role of scientific knowledge in analysing complex challenges and supporting decision-making processes.
