The University School for Advanced Studies IUSS Pavia participates in the "Area Meetings", the orientation initiative held at University of Pavia and aimed at presenting to students in the last years of upper secondary school the university system and the structure of degree courses, the educational offer and opportunities of the IUSS School, Colleges of Merit (Collegi di Merito) and Edisu (Ente per il diritto allo studio universitario).
Area meetings for the presentation of the educational offer 2024/25
The IUSS School presents the main features of the educational offer of the ordinary courses, the days are divided into a plenary session and subsequent in-depth sessions.
Each day will be dedicated to a different area of study on the following days:
Health, Scientific and Psychological Area: 23-24-25 January 2024 - Campus Salute (Policlinico San Matteo)
Humanities, Law/Politics/Economics and Musicology Area: 31 January and 1-2 February 2024 - Pavia University Campus
Engineering and Architecture Area: 6-7 February 2024 - Engineering Campus, Via Ferrata 5
On the days scheduled in the programme, a reception point of the School will be set up in the location dedicated to each study area, where the Ordinary Courses Office, with the collaboration of the IUSS students, will welcome aspiring students.
IUSS School for Advanced Studies participates in the "Incontri d'Area" initiative, an orientation event held at the University of Pavia, aimed at presenting the university system, degree programs, academic offerings, and opportunities at IUSS, as well as the merit-based Colleges and EDISU services, to students in their fourth and final year of high school.
Incontri d'Area for the Presentation of the 2024/25 Academic Offer
IUSS School will present the key features of its Undergraduate Courses offering. The event will be divided into a plenary session followed by in-depth sessions.
Each day will be dedicated to a different field of study on the following dates:
- Health, Scientific, and Psychological Areas: January 23-25, 2024 - Health Campus (San Matteo Polyclinic): PROGRAM
- Humanities, Legal/Political/Economic, and Musicology Areas: January 31 and February 1-2, 2024 - Main Campus of the University of Pavia: PROGRAM
- Engineering and Architecture Areas: February 6-7, 2024 - Engineering Teaching Campus, Via Ferrata 5: PROGRAM
During the scheduled days, a welcome point of the IUSS School will be set up at each area of study venue, where the Undergraduate Courses Office, in collaboration with IUSS students, will welcome prospective students.
IUSS School for Advanced Studies presents the key features of its Undergraduate Courses offering with the participation of some IUSS professors and students. The meetings are divided into a plenary session followed by in-depth sessions.
The meetings will take place in person on the following dates:

- Humanities, Legal/Political/Economic, and Musicology Areas: February 1-3, 2023 (San Tommaso Campus) - PROGRAM
- Engineering and Architecture Area: February 8-9, 2023 (Engineering Campus - Cravino Campus) - PROGRAM
IUSS School for Advanced Studies is participating in the usual cycle of "Incontri d'Area Online", organized by the University of Pavia.
The initiative aims to present the academic offerings and services provided by the Pavia university system to students in their penultimate and final years of high school. This includes the University of Pavia, IUSS School for Advanced Studies, Merit-Based Colleges, and Edisu Colleges.
The event is organized through webinar sessions and is divided into a plenary session, where the general framework of the Pavia university system is presented, and thematic deep-dive sessions for each of the academic and student life areas. During the deep-dive sessions, you can access the IUSS Virtual Room from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The Undergraduate Courses Office of the IUSS School for Advanced Studies is fully available to present the activities and characteristics of the Undergraduate Courses, answer all queries, and arrange more detailed presentations. Participation in these days is free of charge.
