HUMATH – Humanizing Mathematical Knowledge: Launch of the Fall 2025 Philosophy Seminars Series
The Linguistics & Philosophy IUSS Center is pleased to announce the launch of HUMATH – Humanizing Mathematical Knowledge, a new seminar series dedicated to philosophical reflection on mathematical practices and on the criteria that shape the production, evaluation, and transmission of mathematical knowledge.
The Fall program includes four seminars:

Matteo de Ceglie (IUSS Pavia) – What Makes a Mathematical Proof “Good”? - 11 December, 15:00–17:00 (Room 1.15)
Pierluigi Graziani (University of Urbino) – Do Not Go Gentle into That Geometric Proof: On Simplicity, Readability, and Interestingness - 17 December, 15:00–17:00 (Room 1.15)
Giorgio Volpe (University of Bologna) – Evolutionary Debunking and Propositional Justification
All seminars will take place at Palazzo del Broletto, Piazza della Vittoria 15, Pavia.
