#TROVALAMETAFORA 

On Wednesday, 25 February 2026, the NEPLab Laboratory of the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia took part in the event “Special Sanremo Festival 2026”, organised by the DAMS department of the University of Bologna on the occasion of the Sanremo Music Festival.

It was an evening to watch the Sanremo Festival together and comment live on the most beautiful metaphors in the songs competing.

These activities are part of the research and dissemination campaign #TROVALAMETAFORA, promoted by the Laboratory of Experimental Neurolinguistics and Pragmatics at IUSS Pavia within the framework of the European project PROMENADE (PROcessing MEtaphors: Neurochronometry, Acquisition and DEcay).

The aim of the campaign is to train society to recognize metaphors we encounter every day and understand how they influence the way we think, communicate and interpret the world.

All contributions will be collected in an open archive, a large “metaphor album” available to anyone who wants to explore how figurative language shapes our reality.
