On Wednesday, January 14th 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, the Doctoral Final Exam of the National PhD Programme in Space Science and Technology (XXXVIII cycle) will take place at the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia.

The event will be held in IUSS – Classroom 1-17, Palazzo Broletto (Piazza della Vittoria 15, Pavia, Italy) and will feature presentations by PhD candidates on their doctoral research work:

Programme

• Alberto Bonollo – “Investigating Extended Gamma-Ray Sources with ASTRI and CTAO: Observation, Analysis and Modelling”
• Beatrice Vaia – “Investigating Interstellar Dust in the Milky Way Through X-Ray Scattering and Absorption”

The session will provide an opportunity to showcase advanced research outcomes within the national programme devoted to space science and technology.
