The University School for Advanced Studies IUSS, as part of the University's internationalization process and with the aim of developing joint research and teaching activities, promoting also the exchange of faculty members and students, establishes academic collaboration relationships with prestigious foreign universities through the signature of exchange agreements.

International European and non-European mobility is an instrument for didactic, formative, personal and cultural enrichment and for the creation of transversal and competitive knowledge.

IUSS Pavia offers to students, faculty members, researchers, research fellows and technical-administrative staff the opportunity to spend a period abroad at foreign European and non-European institutions with whom exchange, academic cooperation and scientific research agreements have been signed.
For some motilities, travel expenses will be reimbursed or scholarships will be paid by our University, awarded on the basis of a selection.

Issued the call for the assignment of international mobility positions at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris (ENS) following the agreement between the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS of Pavia, Collegio Ghislieri of Pavia, and the École Normale Supérieure, reserved for students regularly enrolled in the Undergraduate Courses and Ph.D. programs of the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS of Pavia. The call promotes collaborations in teaching and research and encourages scientific, cultural, and artistic projects of mutual interest.

Specifically, the École Normale Supérieure is offering 2 free accommodations in its colleges, reserved for IUSS students and Ph.D. candidates. Additionally, the ENS commits to providing the following within its facilities and offerings:

  • Free access to lectures, seminars, and research groups, subject to registration with the relevant departments or sections and within the limits of available spots;
  • Free access to libraries, IT networks, and all forms of scientific, cultural, artistic, and sports activities;
  • Individual tutoring, subject to the agreement of the professor;
  • Certificates of attendance for courses or activities attended, and, where applicable, the possibility of credit validation for the study program at the host institution, subject to approval by the Direction of Studies or the competent office.

The mobility period is scheduled as follows:

  • For the first semester, the mobility period will begin in September 2025 and end in January 2026;
  • For the second semester, it will begin in February 2026 and end in July 2026.

The minimum duration of the mobility period is 2 months for the first semester and 3 months for the second semester.
