Internazionalizzazione

La Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia ha sviluppato un intenso processo di internazionalizzazione fin dalla sua istituzione.
L'attenzione della Scuola IUSS all'aspetto internazionale è dimostrata dal costante impegno di coinvolgere studenti, professori e studiosi provenienti dall'estero nei progetti di ricerca e didattica e dalle attività realizzate in collaborazione con le istituzioni straniere.

La promozione di periodi di studio degli studenti presso qualificate istituzioni straniere ed il crescente coinvolgimento di docenti, ricercatori e studenti stranieri, in particolare a livello post graduate, sono stati facilitati dalle relazioni dei professori e ricercatori della Scuola IUSS con università ed enti di ricerca stranieri.
Le collaborazioni internazionali sono state intensificate per finalità formative e di ricerca di alto livello.

Il #Mugmaster Program favorisce l’amicizia tra gli studenti universitari iscritti alla Scuola IUSS e rende visibili i rapporti internazionali tra le Università.

Il #Mugmaster Program consiste in uno scambio di oggetti (tazze mug, taccuini, ecc.) tra le reciproche Università e coinvolge principalmente gli studenti stranieri iscritti alla Scuola IUSS.

La Commissione Europea ha approvato l'Erasmus Charter for Higher Education della Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS di Pavia che permetterà all’Istituto di partecipare alle iniziative internazionali e di competere per i finanziamenti del nuovo Programma “ERASMUS +” per Istruzione, Formazione, Gioventù e Sport nel periodo 2014 – 2020.

Erasmus+ is the new European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport, which provides grants for a wide range of actions and activities in the fields of education, training and youth. The programme gives people the opportunity to make experience of study, teaching and training period abroad, increasing their skills and employability.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR IUSS STUDENTS
IUSS Master and PhD students can apply for receiving financial contribution to undertake an Erasmus+ traineeship experience abroad (for a minimum period of 2 months): applications are now opened for the academic year 2019/2020 as per the announcement.
The monthly contribution depends on the country destination (from 350 to 400 €).

  • Deadline: traineeships must be carried out within 30/09/2020

Application procedure:
1. Send to erasmusplus@iusspavia.it the following documentation:
- application form “Allegato 1” (attached to the announcement);
- transcript of grades;
- description of the internship project signed by the local supervisor “Allegato 2” (attached to the announcement).
2. The documentation will be evaluated by a commission nominated by rectoral decree.

General information about ERASMUS+ Mobility for traineeships
Erasmus + Mobility for traineeships is a student mobility programme which gives students enrolled in higher education institutions the opportunity to broaden their vocational and training curriculum by doing a traineeship abroad.
The traineeship abroad can last from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 12 months. Students receive an Erasmus+ grant as a contribution, which depends on the country destination:

Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, United Kingdom, Sweden.

GROUP 2 (MEDIUM cost of life):

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain.

GROUP 3 (LOW cost of life):

Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary, Serbia

 

 

The mobility cannot exceed 12 months per study cycle. This maximum of 12 months per study cycle also includes former mobility experiences under the previous Erasmus-Lifelong Learning programme.

In addition to the contribution, students may also have the opportunity to access to Erasmus+ Online Linguistic Support, a tool which will help them to learn or improve the knowledge of the language in which they will work.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR IUSS STAFF

It’s now available the new announcement for IUSS teachers and staff willing to apply for a grant to undertake a teaching or training period in an European higher education institution. Incoming staff working in any Programme Country public or private organization as well as individuals in businesses invited to share their knowledge may also apply to spend a teaching period at IUSS.


Deadline: applications must be submitted within 30/09/2020

In order to apply, IUSS teachers and staff must send to erasmusplus@iusspavia.it the following documentation:

- application form (Allegato 1, attached to the announcement);

- description of the teaching/training project (Allegato 2, attached to the announcement);

- Mobility Agreement, specifying the formal recognition provisions and rights and obligations of each party (Allegato 3) which has been signed by the Erasmus+ coordinator, the staff member and the host institution.

The documentation will be evaluated by a commission designated by rectoral decree, as long as funds will be available.

General information about ERASMUS+ Mobility for staff
Erasmus+ supports both teaching and training periods at higher education institutions abroad.
Individuals working in the higher education sector and individuals in businesses who intend to share their knowledge of a given sector, subject or issue, or carry out an internship in a higher education institution, have the possibility to apply for a grant for a teaching or training experience at an education institution in an Erasmus+ Programme country.

Duration
The period abroad for both teaching and training mobilities must last a minimum of 2 days to a maximum of 2 months, excluding travel time. In addition, the teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of 8 hours of actual teaching activity per week (or any shorter period of stay).

Financial conditions
The mobility grant consists of a contribution towards travel and subsistence expenses for the period of teaching or training abroad. The reimbursement will be paid on the basis of contribution to unit costs.

Travel grants maximums are set according to the distance between the sending institution and the receiving one, and it must be calculated using the Distance Calculator tool supported on the EC’s website. You must indicate the distance of a one-way travel to calculate the amount of the grant that will cover the round trip, as per article 4, table A of the announcement.

The individual support is a contribution towards all other costs, including travel, accommodation and meals. The amount varies on the base of duration and destination of the stay, according to the maximums reported in article 4, table B of the announcement.
