Pavia Joins "Università Svelate": Discover IUSS on March 20

On the occasion of the National University Day – Università Svelate 2026, the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS of Pavia opens its doors with the initiative Connected Knowledge: a morning event open to students, teachers, and citizens who want to explore an academic institution where disciplines don't exist in isolation — they conversation.

The name says it all: Connected Knowledge reflects the core vocation of IUSS, a School that trains researchers and professionals able to move across different fields — sciences, humanities, law, technology — building bridges between forms of knowledge that rarely meet elsewhere. It is precisely this capacity to connect that makes the IUSS educational experience unique, and that the March 20 event aims to bring to life.

The event will take place at Palazzo del Broletto, Sala del Camino (Piazza Vittoria 15, Pavia). Free entry, subject to availability.

Programme

At 10.00, Rector Mario Martina will officially open the day. A series of meetings with faculty members from different disciplinary areas will follow, offering an in-depth look at the School's educational model, its distinctive features, and the opportunities it provides to those seeking an integrated advanced education. At 12.45, the floor opens to the public for a Q&A session.

The morning will close with a guided tour of the School's spaces, led by IUSS students themselves — a first-hand account of academic life, activities, and the atmosphere that makes studying at IUSS a one-of-a-kind experience.
