- Undergraduate Courses
The Undergraduate Courses are the pre-graduate educational activities of the IUSS School. They are advanced university courses, completely free of charge, held alongside bachelor’s, master’s, or single-cycle master’s degree programs at the University of Pavia or the University of Milan (La Statale). These courses are intended for students who have passed the admission competition for the Merit Colleges of Pavia (Almo Collegio Borromeo, Collegio Ghislieri, Collegio Santa Caterina da Siena, Collegio Nuovo) or Milan (Collegio di Milano). The duration of the courses corresponds to that of the respective degree programs at the universities of enrollment. At the end of the program, the IUSS School awards:
- First-level three-year diploma
- Second-level two-year diploma
- Joint master’s degree
second-level two-year diplomas and the master’s/single-cycle degrees carry the legal value of a Second-Level Master’s degree.
- PhD Programmes
The PhD courses are aimed at young graduates, require full-time commitment, and are conducted in English. All positions offered by the School come with a full scholarship for the entire duration of the program.
For periods spent abroad, the scholarship may be increased by up to 50%, for a maximum of 18 months. Additionally, starting from the second year, the School provides each student with an annual research budget equal to 10% of the scholarship, to cover expenses related to their research activities.
