The Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia is organizing a transdisciplinary workshop on integrated flood risk assessment as part of the European Flood Conference.
The workshop, “Integrating Engineering and Economics in Flood Risk Assessment for Climate Adaptation,” will take place on 15–16 April 2026 at IUSS Pavia. Aimed at PhD candidates, it seeks to bridge engineering and economic disciplines to address the challenges of hydrogeological risk in the context of climate change.
The transdisciplinary approach will allow participants to explore advanced methodologies combining engineering modelling and economic analysis for more effective flood risk management and climate adaptation.
The workshop will bring together leading scholars, including Tatiana Filatova and Raghav Pant, to discuss advanced approaches to flood risk assessment, including infrastructure modelling, systemic risk, and economic evaluation for climate adaptation.
Registration is available at: https://forms.gle/fFEQYym6gJzxR8xZ9
Participation is possible both in person (limited seats) and online (unlimited access). Further details and the full programme are available in the attached flyer.
