Biography
My name is Ali Yaakoub, and I graduated from the University of Genoa on 15/10/2025. I am currently a PhD student at IUSS Pavia, working at the FLOW Lab. My academic background combines engineering and applied research, with a strong interest in innovative technologies and their real-world applications. Throughout my studies, I developed solid skills in scientific problem-solving, experimental work, and data-driven analysis. I enjoy working in interdisciplinary environments and collaborating with researchers from different fields.
My PhD research focuses on microfabrication, with particular interest in developing and optimizing micro-scale devices and fabrication processes. I work on the design, fabrication, and characterization of micro-structured systems, aiming to improve performance, precision, and reliability. My interests include microfluidic and lab-on-chip technologies, advanced materials and manufacturing techniques, and experimental testing methods. Through my work at the FLOW Lab, I aim to contribute to innovative solutions that connect microengineering with practical biomedical and engineering applications.
