PhD candidate in Cognitive Brain Sciences.

I am Alice Radici, who graduated in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Pavia in 2017. I collaborated during my internship and in the following years with the Maugeri Institute at the Milan Camaldoli site where I carried out clinical and research activities at the neurology/SLA department. My PhD project, supervised by Professor Chiara Cerami, concerns the assessment of social cognition in ALS patients and specifically ALS-FTD. Within this study we aim to explore with a transdiagnostic approach the social cognition profiles and their EEG correlates in the spectrum of ALS-FTD disorders. Transdiagnostic approaches have been steadily applied in neuropsychiatry and in the field of aphasia to model the neurocognitive mechanisms that explain cognitive, behavioural and functional disorders, regardless of the specificity of the clinical syndrome.
