Biography
I am Azhar Mahmood, a recently enrolled doctoral candidate in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology at IUSS Pavia. I have successfully completed my Master's degree in chemistry at the University of the Punjab, located in Lahore, Pakistan, in the year 2022. Prior to that, I received a four-year bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan, in the year 2020. The primary objective of my master's thesis was to investigate the process of organofunctionalization of alginate-based linear polysaccharides. This involved grafting N, O, and S as donor sites in order to enhance the efficiency of Ag(I) recovery.
For a duration of one year, I fulfilled the responsibilities of a Research Officer at the Center for Research in Ionic Liquids, which is situated inside the School of Chemistry at the University of the Punjab.
