
Biography
PhD candidate in Cognitive Brain Sciences.
Gaia Locatelli completed her degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques at the University of Milano Bicocca in 2017. She then obtained a master’s degree in “Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology in the Life Cycle” from the same university in 2020. After graduating, Gaia undertook a professional internship for registration in the Albo A of psychologists, during which she carried out clinical and research activities at the IRCCS Ospedale San Gerardo dei Tintori in Monza. Since March 2023, Gaia has been a member of the Order of Psychologists of Lombardy and, since January 2024, she has been attending the Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy specialization school at Studi Cognitivi. Her research interests include studying the characteristics of cognitive functioning in various clinical populations, with a particular focus on substance use disorders, neurodegenerative diseases and dementias. Additionally, Gaia is dedicated to exploring non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques, applied both in clinical and experimental settings.
