Biography

PhD candidate in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology.

Lucrezia Principi is a research associate scientist at Philochem AG and Ph. D. student in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology at the University of Pavia. In 2022 she graduated in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Milan-Bicocca, with an experimental thesis resulting from the internship in the Proteomics and Metabolomics Unit of the School of Medicine and Surgery in Milan-Bicocca and a project in collaboration with Chiesi Pharmaceutical and the University of Parma, entitled "Molecular insights into Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis progression and Nintenadib-mediated slow-down using a Bleomycin-induced mouse model".

Fascinated by Proteomics and intrigued by the corporate world, she moved to Zurich just after graduation to join the Philochem AG Mass Spectrometry Group, where it contributes to the development and application of analytical techniques for the discovery and characterization of Small Molecule Drug-Conjugate, Small Molecule Radio-Conjugate, and Immunocytokines. In 2023 she started her industrial PhD with a project aimed at investigating the clinical potential of plasma proteomics for the discovery of novel safety biomarkers.
