PhD candidate in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology.

I obtained my Master's Degree in Fermaceutical Chemistry and Technology on 18 February 2022 at the University of Florence with a thesis entitled: ‘Mefloquine analogues as potential Pannexin-1 (Panx1) channel blockers: design, synthesis and electrophysiological studies’. During my thesis I was involved in the design, synthesis and purification of new potential inhibitors of the Panx1.
In May 2022, I started my clinical trial experience as Clinical Research Coordinator at the Radiotherapy Department of the University Hospital of Careggi. During this period I followed oncological studies of both observational and interventional type.
In May 2023, I started as a trainee in the Data Management department at Philogen where I was responsible for the design and implementation of databases and the management of experimental data.
On 1 October 2023 I started my PhD course in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology at IUSS, which I am doing at Philogen, with the aim of applying Machine Learning to Drug Discovery, in particular DEL selection, and Drug Development.
