Nicla Mandas obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cagliari in 2020, with a thesis titled “Study of the HRV during polysomnography on subjects with REM sleep behavior disorders”. Then, she studied at Politecnico di Milano and obtained a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering (Information Bioengineering) in 2022, with the thesis “Characterization of Autonomic Dysfunction and Sleep Structure in REM Sleep Behavior Disorder”, which led to her first publication. During her master's course, she has also been a research assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Cagliari.
Now, she has enrolled in the PhD program “The Hadron Academy: Risk and Complexity in high tech medical innovation”: her main areas of research are signal processing, modeling and machine learning techniques, with a focus on intracardiac electrograms and CT/MR images, applied in relation to hadron-based ventricular tachycardia ablation.
