Biography
In 2025, I received a Master’s degree in Applied Physics from the University of Bologna. Before that, I earned a Master’s degree in Accelerator Physics and Radiation Medicine from Moscow State University and a Bachelor’s degree in General and Experimental Physics from North-Eastern Federal University. I have three years of experience as a medical physicist in conventional radiation therapy, working on treatment planning and QA. This experience gave me a deep understanding of the challenges in medical physics and shaped the research direction I want to pursue.
My doctoral research focuses on optimizing dose distribution and LETd in upright carbon ion therapy for head & neck and abdominal tumors. I compare fixed-beam and gantry-based strategies while integrating LET constraints into inverse planning. The study aims to establish practical guidelines for LET optimization in upright geometry and to provide a foundation for the clinical implementation of biologically driven planning.
