From October 16 to 18, 2025, Prof. Alberto Monti (Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia) will take part as an invited speaker in the 10th International Insurance Law Congress (X Fórum de Direito do Seguro José Sollero Filho), organized in São Paulo, Brazil, by the Instituto Brasileiro de Direito do Seguro (IBDS).

The event, hosted at the renowned Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) – designed by Italian architect Lina Bo Bardi – will provide an important opportunity for discussion and scholarly reflection on the innovations introduced by Brazil’s new Insurance Contracts Law (Law No. 15.040/2024), which will enter into force in December 2025.

Prof. Monti’s lecture will focus on the topic of liability risk insurance, whose economic and social role stands at the crossroads between the protection of the insured’s assets and the safeguarding of third-party rights.
