A new edition of the “Pratolungo Unconference” is about to begin: an initiative based on informal gatherings for all those interested in emerging technologies and their impact on social and cultural progress. Discussions will focus on topics such as education, culture and technology, citizenship, business and democracy — key themes for shaping the citizens of tomorrow.

The 2026 edition will consist of two events:

• Pratolungo Summer School – 20–23 July 2026
  Collective activities, lectures, workshops and experiential learning sessions. The Summer School represents the most intensive version of the Unconference format. The initiative revolves around a common thread of guidance and orientation, where interdisciplinary education aims to foster awareness, attention to detail, connections between different fields of knowledge, and a fresh perspective on contemporary issues.
• Pratolungo Gathering – 24–25 July 2026
  Open to all those who have previously taken part in at least one edition of the Pratolungo Unconference. This event will preserve the participatory spirit of the format, allowing attendees to propose discussion topics and join the conversations they care most about.

The entire 2026 edition of the Pratolungo Unconference will take place in Rieti. Participation, accommodation, meals, and travel from Rome to Rieti and back are fully covered. Participants are responsible only for travel expenses to and from Rome, which will be reimbursed under the mission reimbursement scheme.

The call is open to students regularly enrolled in the Ordinary Courses of the IUSS School.

Applications must be submitted by email to orientamento@iusspavia.it no later than 25 May 2026 and must include the following information:

• Phone contact

A total of 3 places are available. Places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis according to the chronological order of applications received, until all spots are filled.
