Curricular Internships at the Quirinale Palace and the Presidential Estate of Castelporziano – Call for Applications

The call for applications has been published for 32 curricular internships at the Quirinale Palace (20 positions) and the State Nature Reserve “Presidential Estate of Castelporziano” (12 positions), as part of the Presidency of the Republic – Italian Universities Internship Programme, promoted by the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic and the CRUI Foundation.

The internships, with a total duration of 150 hours, will take place between February and July 2026, divided into two separate cycles.

Each internship includes a theoretical training and study phase and a practical phase consisting of support and information activities for visitors to the Quirinale Palace or the Castelporziano Estate.

Internships at the Quirinale Palace

The call provides for two internship cycles, scheduled respectively from February to May 2026 (Cycle 1) and from April to July 2026 (Cycle 2).
Each internship consists of a total of 150 hours, divided as follows:

  • 30 hours of in-person training (on-site training – mentoring – assessment). Training sessions will take place on Thursdays and Fridays. On the following Saturday and/or Sunday, students will shadow interns already engaged in visitor-guiding activities.
  • 120 hours of practical activity, consisting of guided tours for visitor groups at the Quirinale Palace. Each student will participate over 8 weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and may take up to 3 days of absence—which may be consecutive—during the practical phase, subject to prior approval by the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.
Internships at the Presidential Estate of Castelporziano

The call provides for two internship cycles, scheduled respectively from February to April 2026 (Cycle 1) and from April to June 2026 (Cycle 2).
Each internship consists of a total of 150 hours, divided as follows:

  • 40 hours of training, approximately 10 hours online (e-learning) and 30 hours in the field. The field training will take place over a single week (Monday to Friday), followed by a weekend of shadowing activities.
  • 110 hours of practical activity, carried out over 7 weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Students may take up to 3 days of absence—which may be consecutive—during the practical phase, upon prior notification to the company tutor.
