EcoHackathon 2026: Two Days of Ideas and Innovation for Sustainability

Legambiente Lombardia is organizing EcoHackathon, a two-day event dedicated to generating new ideas and projects focused on environmental sustainability.
The event is also promoted with the patronage of the RUS – Network of Universities for Sustainable Development, of which we are members.

EcoHackathon is open to young people aged 17 to 35 and features four eco-challenges centered on sustainability, aiming to develop creative and innovative solutions in the following areas:

• energy
• innovation and technology
• waste management
• ecological transition and communities

Throughout the event, participants will receive support in developing their project ideas from professionals from partner organizations, who will share their expertise to help transform ideas into concrete projects.

The growing need to accelerate the ecological transition and promote sustainable processes across all human activities is one of the key challenges of our time. This year’s eco-challenges focus on sectors most impacted by scientific progress and research, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of human activities.

The ability to engage and mobilize people is also essential to encourage more sustainable behaviors and promote stronger environmental policies.
