Applications can be submitted online until 16 June at http://tirocinicrui.app. The 22 curricular internships at the Quirinal Palace are divided into two cycles (late September–late November 2026; November 2026–February 2027), while the 6 internships at the Castelporziano Estate will take place in a single period (September–November 2026).

Students enrolled at the 45 Italian universities participating in the programme, including the IUSS School for Advanced Studies of Pavia, may apply, provided they are enrolled in the bachelor’s, master’s, or single-cycle degree programmes specified in the call for applications. Applicants must have earned at least 120 ECTS credits in the case of bachelor’s and single-cycle degree programmes, or at least 18 ECTS credits in the case of master’s degree programmes. They must also demonstrate English-language proficiency at B1 level or higher.

The internships have a total duration of 150 hours. During the programme, students will deepen their academic and scientific knowledge through a combination of study and research activities, while also developing skills in scientific communication and outreach.

Participants will receive a lump-sum reimbursement of €600.

The initiative is part of the programme jointly promoted by the CRUI Foundation and the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Italian Republic.
