IUSS Call for Ideas – 1st Edition 2025

The first edition of the Call for Ideas 2025 is now open, promoted by the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS Pavia in collaboration with the Superior University Schools of the Educating Future Citizens (EFC) network.

The initiative offers PhD students and recent PhD graduate enrolled either at IUSS School, the lead institution of the EFC project, or at one of the EFC partners institutions to turn their research results into high-impact entrepreneurial proposals, fostering dialogue between research, industry and society.

Ideas related to one of the following thematic areas may be submitted:

  • Energy & Sustainability – innovative solutions for a greener planet
  • Space – technologies and services for exploring the universe
  • Culture & Creative Industries – ideas that place creativity at the service of community

What the call offers

Join the Call for Ideas 2025 to transform your research into a high-impact project through a tailor-made program that offers you:

  • Residential training: two half-day sessions, “From Research to Business”, at UniverMantova, to master practical innovation tools and methods;
  • Top-Tier Mentoring: thematic workshops and one-to-one coaching with mentors and experts in the innovation field to tailor your idea for the market;

  • Final pitch & exclusive awards: present your idea to a panel of experts and win a fellowship for a 5-day immersive experience in Silicon Valley!
