PhDay returns — the annual event created by doctoral students and dedicated to the entire PhD community of the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS of Pavia.

Now in its sixth edition, the event continues to be a valuable opportunity for peer exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue, and strengthening the sense of belonging to the School’s scientific community.

The increasing complexity of the doctoral programmes and the growing diversity of the IUSS research community make PhDay 2025 a strategic occasion to connect different research areas and foster transdisciplinary dialogue within the School.

This year’s edition will offer a rich and engaging programme aimed at supporting professional development and encouraging networking. Participants will be able to enhance their transferable skills through the PhD Toolbox, a hands-on workshop providing practical tools for research and future careers. The Interactive Mystery Game will inspire creativity and teamwork in a fun and dynamic setting. The event also includes opportunities to connect across disciplines and to effectively showcase individual research during the Elevator Pitch Contest. The day will close with a final ceremony — a moment of sharing, celebration, and recognition.
