From June 4 to 6, 2025, Mantua will host the PhD-SDC MD Event, a national gathering for PhD candidates from Italian doctoral programs focused on sustainable development and climate change. The event, organized within the framework of the PhD on Sustainable Development and Climate Change (PhD-SDC) and supported by the Fondazione UniverMantova, brings together leading Italian universities.
Over the course of three days, participants will engage in keynote lectures, seminars, interdisciplinary working groups, and networking sessions, with a central focus on the challenge of achieving net-zero. The program promotes high-level training and dynamic dialogue between young researchers, academics, institutions, and industry representatives.
The IUSS School of Advanced Studies Pavia is actively involved in the event, with PhD students and faculty contributing to discussions and coordinating thematic tables on:
- sustainable agriculture,
- renewable energy,
- smart cities,
- environmental risk management.
