ConSOLE: the European Conference for Early-Career Linguists – Research, Exchange and Academic Community (28–30 January 2026)

The 34th edition of ConSOLE offers graduate and advanced students (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD) the opportunity to present their linguistic research to an international audience. This year’s theme is movement, exploring how linguistic movement manifests itself in syntax, phonology, morphology, semantics, and the neuroscience of language. Invited speakers include: Anna Maria Di Sciullo, Andrea Moro, Gillian Ramchand, Vieri Samek-Lodovici, and Marco Tettamanti. The conference will be preceded by a Neurolinguistics Workshop, organized in collaboration with PhD students from IMT Lucca. The event is funded by the EFC project – project code SSU2024-00002.

Call for Applications: International Mobility Programme at École Normale Supérieure (Paris) – a.y. 2026/2027

The call for applications is now open for international mobility positions at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris (ENS), following the agreement between the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia, Collegio Ghislieri in Pavia and the École Normale Supérieure.

The call is open to students regularly enrolled in the IUSS Ordinary Courses and PhD Programmes, and aims to foster collaborations in teaching and research, while encouraging scientific, cultural and artistic projects of common interest.

The École Normale Supérieure offers 2 free accommodations in its Collegi, reserved for IUSS students and PhD candidates.
