National PhD Program in Science and Technology for Advanced Therapies – Applications Open
The call for applications for the National PhD Programme in Science and Technology for Advanced Therapies (STAT) – XLII Cycle, Academic Year 2026/2027, coordinated by Prof. Annalisa Bonfiglio, has been published. The three-year programme trains highly qualified researchers in the field of advanced therapies through an interdisciplinary approach that integrates medicine, biophysics, bioengineering, and biotechnology. Promoted by the IUSS School for Advanced Studies Pavia in collaboration with Fondazione Telethon, the University of Pavia, and Fondazione CNAO, the PhD programme is part of an ecosystem of excellence dedicated to developing innovative solutions for human health.
On the occasion of the Festival di Sanremo 2026, Professor Valentina Bambini — faculty member at the Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia and Director of the NEPlab at IUSS — led a special science outreach initiative dedicated to the language of the competing songs.
