PhD Candidate in Cognitive Brain Sciences.
Elena Piazzalunga obtained her Master’s degree in 2022 in Neuroscience and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation at the University of Padua, with an experimental thesis project focused on studying the influence of emotional stimuli in a prospective memory task.
During her studies, she completed her internships in the U.O.C of Rehabilitation at the San Raffaele Arcangelo Hospital in Venice and later in the Laboratory of Neuropsychology at the IRCCS San Camillo, (Lido of Venice). She then worked as research assistant in the same laboratory, supporting research projects, that focus on the use of digital technologies and brain neuromodulation to create innovative rehabilitation interventions.
Her research interest is driven by the desire to find a meeting point between research and clinical health care, considering the indispensable link between the two fields, and to implement innovative brain stimulation techniques in clinical practice through an integrated approach.
