Biography

PhD candidate in Theoretical and Experimental Linguistics.

Sarah Rossi holds a bachelor’s degree in Language Mediation Sciences from the University of Macerata, where she discussed a thesis in Applied Linguistics titled “Speech acts: universal or culture-specific?” (supervisor: prof. Diego Poli). She attended the MA course Language and Mind: Linguistics and Cognitive Studies at the University of Siena. She earned her master’s degree in 2022, defending a thesis on the syntax of imperatives, focusing in particular on Italian and on first language acquisition (“Low Imperative Hypothesis: a view from the acquisition of Italian imperatives”; supervisor: prof. Adriana Belletti, co-supervisor: prof. Luigi Rizzi).
