4 positions for the PhD programme in Cognitive Brain Sciences, coordinated by Prof. Eleonora Catricalà, of which: 1 position with scholarship funded by IUSS Pavia through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) - DM 351/2022 – PNRR Research, on the topic “Advancing knowledge of the neurocognitive mechanisms through studies in neuropsychology, e.g. defining paradigms/tests for the neuropsychological characterisation of neurodegenerative pathologies, and/or neurophysiology and/or neuroimaging, as well as the possible definition of therapeutic strategies for neurological diseases”; 2 positions with scholarship funded by University of Pavia through National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) - DM 351/2022 – PNRR Research, one on the topic “Society and culture of well-being: the role of music in modulating cognitive processes in humans” and the other one on the topic "Health and well-being in the ageing society: personalised pathways from diagnosis to rehabilitation of body representation disorders after stroke". (submission deadline 26th August, 2022 at 13:00 CEST);
3 positions for the PhD programme in Theoretical and Experimental Linguistics, coordinated by Prof. Valentina Bambini, of which one position covered with scholarship funded by the School through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) - DM 351/2022 – Cultural heritage, on the topic "Research on metaphors from the Italian literature via an open-access online database and psycho/neurolinguistic investigations. (submission deadline 26th August, 2022 at 13:00 CEST);
Admission Requirements
Candidates with the academic qualifications set forth below may take part in the selection process, without citizenship restrictions:
- Laurea Magistrale/Specialistica or Laurea (DM 599/99)
- Similar academic qualification obtained abroad recognized as comparable by the Admission Committee to the Italian qualification in terms of duration and content and deemed eligible for the purposes of taking part in the competition.
Candidates who have not obtained their qualification by the announcement deadline but who will obtain it by 30th November 2022 may also take part in the selection process.
