Description: The ECFAS project will contribute to the evolution of the Copernicus Emergency Monitoring Service by demonstrating the technical and operational feasibility of the European Coastal Flood Awareness System, a European coastal flood early warning system. ECFAS will provide a proof of concept that complements and expands the current range of baseline service information. It will assess coastal flood risk, contributing to a fully integrated risk cycle monitoring service, and will implement an early warning system for coastal areas (preparedness phase) as well as impact assessment products (response phase), which are essential for effective recovery and prevention actions.
