
Biography
Alexandra Charalampopoulou was born in Athens, Greece. In 2018, she graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of L'Aquila with a thesis in oncology and in 2020, in Neurobiology at the University of Pavia with a master's thesis accomplished in the Radiobiology laboratory of the National Center for Oncological Hadrontherapy (CNAO) in Pavia. In particular, during her thesis research she investigated the effects of conventional radiotherapy and hadrontherapy on radioresistant tumours. After her graduation, she won a 2-year research grant, in the field of hadrontherapy, at the same Radiobiology laboratory of CNAO Foundation where she is currently conducting research for her PhD in collaboration with the IUSS of Pavia in the field of Innovative Particle Therapies.
