PhD candidate in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology.

Marco obtained his MSc in Chemistry at the ETH Zurich (Switzerland) in 2022. He conducted his Master thesis in the group of Prof. Dr. Jeffrey W. Bode about the ‘Synthesis of Hydroxylamines for the Template-Assisted Modification of Antibodies’. During that time, he worked on a project to devise a new method to install a hydroxylamine onto a native, unmodified IgG antibody. In 2021, during his Master Studies, Marco did an internship at Dottikon Exclusive Synthesis AG, where he worked on the development of novel synthetic procedures for APIs. Currently, since September 2022, he is pursuing an industrial PhD at Philochem AG in the group of DNA encoded chemical libraries.
