
Biography
PhD candidate in Theoretical and Experimental Linguistics.
Veronica Mangiaterra received her bachelor’s degree in Humanities from the University of Pavia in 2020 with a thesis on the production of speech acts in learners of Italian (supervisor: Dr. Filippo Pecorari). At the same time, she was a student at the Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori (IUSS) in Pavia where in 2021 she obtained her Level I degree with a thesis on the understanding of metaphors in patients with schizophrenia (supervisor: Prof. Valentina Bambini). She then continued her studies with a master's degree in Cognitive Science at the University of Trento, delving into psycholinguistics and computational linguistics. In 2022 she graduated by discussing a thesis on computational modeling of language acquisition in children with cochlear implants (supervisor: Prof. Aurelie Herbelot).
