In January, February and March 2021 the University College S. Caterina da Siena organizes a program of events dedicated to musical culture divided into three cycles of three meetings each on topics related respectively to history and culture, science and technology, psychology and sociology.
The meetings will be held by Maestro Giorgio Guiot, chorus director of the Collegio S. Caterina, and include a lecture with a workshop and active involvement of the members.
The first cycle is entitled "Singing or counting? Singing and music between mathematics, physics and technology"
Wednesday 10 February: Mathematics and music, the numbers behind the sounds
Wednesday 17 February: Practice or grammar? Music theory and live music
Wednesday 24 February: A look at technology. From aulos to MP3
The meetings will be held online, on the zoom platform, on Wednesday, from 21.00 to 22.30
The meetings are free participation with compulsory registration until the day before the meeting at the link.
