The fifth edition of PhDay, the annual networking event designed by and for the PhD students of the School, will take place on May 29 in Pavia. The exponential growth of new doctoral programs and the academic community makes this event an unmissable opportunity to connect the different disciplines of the School.
This year's edition will see a wide participation of PhD students and includes a series of activities designed to meet the diverse needs and interests of the academic community.
Program Activities:
1. Networking Activities
- A structured session to facilitate meetings and connections among students from various disciplines, fostering meaningful connections for research collaborations and professional exchanges.
2. Elevator Pitch Contest
- Participants will have three minutes to present their research projects to a panel of judges, with the chance to win a monitor as a prize for the best pitch. This activity offers an opportunity to refine presentation skills and receive constructive feedback.
3. Poster Session
- A dynamic platform to display research findings and interact with attendees in an informal setting, receiving feedback and discovering new perspectives.
4. IUSS Alumni Roundtable
- Meetings with Alumni who will share their experiences, challenges, and advice on making the most of the PhD years and preparing for post-graduation professional life.
Catering will be provided for lunch and the coffee break for event participants.

The celebration continues on the evening of May 29th at Horti Borromaici with "A World of Flavours and Dances". This event is part of the PhDay activities, featuring a cultural showcase from the diverse backgrounds of our IUSS community.
Attendees will enjoy a vibrant evening filled with traditional tastes, tunes, and tales, celebrating the unique cultures that enrich our university.
