Call for Applications Now Open for “Pratolungo Unconference” 2025 | Application Deadline: 12 May 2025

Two stops: Bologna (May) and Rieti (July)

As part of the Educating Future Citizens (EFC) project, promoted by the Network of Italian Schools for Advanced Studies and funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), the call for expressions of interest is now online for students regularly enrolled in the Undergraduate, Integrated Master's, Master’s, and PhD programmes of the participating Schools to take part in the upcoming 2025 edition of the Pratolungo Unconference.

Now in its fourth edition, the initiative includes two events:

  • Bologna, 23–25 May 2025 (in collaboration with Fondazione Golinelli)
  • Rieti, 11–13 July 2025

The Pratolungo Unconference is an immersive and informal experience that brings together 100 participants including thinkers, innovators, and curious young minds to exchange views on major topics related to education, culture, technology, business, and citizenship. The aim is to encourage the development of entrepreneurial and socially oriented projects, fostering shared visions of progress and innovation.

For the 2025 edition, IUSS School is offering 1 spot for each location (Bologna and Rieti) reserved for students regularly enrolled in its Undergraduate, Integrated Master’s, Master’s, and PhD programmes. Participation is free of charge, and travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the School’s mission procedures.

How to apply:
Interested students must send their application to orientamento@iusspavia.it by 12 May 2025, including the following information:

  • Full name
  • Place and date of birth
  • Student ID number
  • Phone number
  • Preference order between the two events (Bologna or Rieti)

Selection will be based on the order in which applications are received, until the available places are filled.

The initiative will be held in Italian.

The IUSS School of Advanced Studies is the coordinating institution of the Educating Future Citizens (EFC) project, an initiative supported by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) with the goal of educating aware and responsible citizens through innovative and advanced educational programmes.

The project (code SSU2024-00002), funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU under Mission 4, Component 1, Investment 3.4 “Advanced university teaching and skills,” involves the following institutions:

  • International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), Trieste

University-based Schools:

  • “C. Urbani” School of Advanced Studies – University of Camerino
  • “G. Leopardi” School of Advanced Studies – University of Macerata
  • “F. Rossi” School of Advanced Studies – University of Turin
  • School of Advanced Studies – University of Udine
  • Ca’ Foscari International College – Ca’ Foscari University of Venice
