With Decreto Direttoriale n.1236 del 01-08-2023 (Call for Proposals), the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MUR) issued a call for proposals to support the development of fundamental research activities under the  Fondo Italiano per la scienza-FIS.

Three funding schemes have been established:

• Starting Grant: for fundamental research projects coordinated by Emerging Researchers (PI Junior);
• Consolidator Grant: for fundamental research projects coordinated by Researchers in Progress  (PI Consolidator);
• Advanced Grant:  prior to fundamental research projects coordinated by Established Researchers  (PI Senior).
